1 HTML for the world wide web

          Learning HTML and CSS is not that necessary nowadays since there are a lot of platforms here on the internet such as Blogger and Wordpress which you can easily design your website. If you don't know HTML, it stands for Hypertext Mark Up Language. It is basically the language used by web pages to show information through web browsers.

          I want to understand the core of web designing and hopefully make some good websites in the future. I don't have much knowledge in HTML and CSS but this book will be my starting point.

I have also found good resources and videos on the internet which can be useful for everyone who wants to learn HTML.

4 Our Very first car (Toyota Fortuner 2008)

Having our first car.

              2012 was a bit rough for us since my mother got sick and our family business's sales went a little bit down. Before ending the year, a good thing happened because our very first car arrived. It was a second hand Toyota Fortuner 2008 model in a good condition. Funny thing is that one who delivered it left it at the front of our house with the engines on. No one in my family knows how to drive a car even though we have a jeepney, we never really learned how to drive. We needed to call our uncle who always drive for us to have it parked in our garage.

Driving

     I  had my cousin to teach me on how to drive. Since it is on automatic mode, It is very easy to learn to drive it. I have the most free time on my family so I have the time to learn driving and to drive for them. The bad news is, I became responsible for car wash and maintenance.

How to acquire license here in Philippines

It is not that hard to acquire driving licenses. It's just that too many are in the line and will take you so much time. In student's driving license, you will just be needing a copy of your birth certificate and a fee of 318 pesos. After a month, you can apply for a non-pro licence which will have an exam and small fees. I have acquired my non-pro license and I'm good to go.

Blessing of our car.

Father is giving our car his blessings. We offered a little prayer and he sprinkled holy water. It's a great blessing for our family and we are very thankful for having it. In return, I'll take care of it and keep it always in good condition.

1 Kz Tandingan wins X factor Philippines

Manila, Philippines- Kz Tandingan, 20 years old and aspiring singer from Digos, Davao became the first winner of talent search "X Factor Philippines. Despite her throat problems in the past Kz Tandingan proved that you don't need to be a biritera or belters to impress the judges and the people.

Kz Tandingan, who is said to be the judges and crowd favorite garnered 55.45% of total votes while Gabriel Maturan and Daddy's home gaining 32.33% and 12.90%. Kz jumped and burst into tears while KC Concepcion (host) announced her as the winner.

Being the first X factor winner, Kz will also take a price of 4 million pesos and will also have a contract to star music. While Gabriel will take home 150,000 pesos and 50,000 for Daddy's Home.

Kz's rendition of "Superstar" from the Carpenters during the final performance night made a good impression to the judges and the people. Charice, who is Kz's mentor is with her throughout the whole competition. Kz also tells how lucky she is to have Charice as her mentor.

What a musical night to see in the results night. Our favorite local artists, judges sang together with the x factor finalists and semi finalists. To end the show, Kz sang a song while still in tears of joy.

Union Bank's EON Card

      Got my Union Bank's Eon card and all I can say is that it works like a charm. I had easily verified and linked my Paypal account with the card. It takes less than a day to verify your account and 2-4 business days to withdraw Paypal funds to your bank account.

How to get an Eon Card?

     Before going directly to Union Bank, you should first sign up their online application form which you can click here: Eon Card Application. Sign up the required fields and you will be given a number which you will present upon going to your nearest Union Bank branch.


     The requirements in applying for EON card is photocopies of 2 valid ID's basically government issued ID's. They will also collect 350 pesos for the annual fee of the card. I would suggest that you bring around 500 and deposit the other 150 if you have plans to use the card to verify your Paypal account. If there are few people and there are no problems regarding your application, you may have your card in about less than an hour.

Notes:

* Upon receiving your card, you will be needing to enroll it on Eon Card's site. You will be needed to make a username for your card. Make sure you remember your username and your pin number in order to log in your account.

* If you have lost your card, Report to your bank and ask for a replacement. Bring some money because they charge for replacement of cards.
